Device Setup - Device Info

Describe the tracked asset, upload an identifying image, and set the device's time zone in Step 1 of the Device Setup.

The Device Info, Step 1 in the Device Setup provides the user will fields to describe the asset being tracked, the ability to upload an image of the asset, driver, or other identifying images, and the Time Zone the device is being used in.

Note The Device Info step of the Device Setup is optional and is used to keep details about the asset, vehicle, or driver.

Getting to the Device Setup page:

To get to the Device Setup follow the instructions below:

Click the menu icon at the top left of the screen, then select "Devices".

From the Device List, click on the name of the device would like to setup.

From the Device Dashboard, click the menu icon at the top left of the screen, then select "Setup" under the Device header.

Time Zone: The Time Zone selection is used to set the time zone for this device. Setting the time zone effects the date/time reported in the Device History. If, for example, you are seeing incorrect times in the Device History or Location Popups, your time zone is most likely incorrect.

Image Upload: The image upload option allows the user to upload an image of a driver, vehicle, or other asset. This image will be displayed in the header of the Datablaze Web Portal on any page that is specific to this device.
